
Gwilym Roddick, DSW, LCSW
Founding PResident
Dr. Gwilym Roddick (he/him), is the Founder and Director of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy of Central & South Florida, PLLC, a pioneering multi-specialty group therapy practice specializing in CBT and related evidence-based therapies.
Dr. Roddick has received graduate degrees from Columbia University (Masters) and Rutgers University (Doctorate). His clinical training and work experiences have included being a part Montefiore Hospital’s health system, and four years at the New York office of The Ross Center, one of the most respected evidence-based practices in the field of mental health.
An advocate for mental health standards, training and practice, Dr. Roddick is a respected member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the New York City Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Association (NYC-CBT), and the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). With ABCT, he has served for several years on the Public Education and Media Dissemination Committee.
He is the current Vice President of the Board of Directors OCD Central and South Florida and the Advisory Board of PsyTech VR. In addition, Dr. Roddick maintains his over decade long practice in New York City and has gratefully been a therapist for the past seven years with the nonprofit Headstrong Project, providing both individual and group psychotherapy to Post 9/11 Veterans.
Having spent the majority of his life in New York City, Dr. Roddick has lived in seven states, Canada and Australia. He and his family reside in Winter Park, Florida.

Andrea Lippman Loeb, PsyD, PA

Andrea Lippman Loeb, Psy.D., (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience in Miami, FL. Dr. Loeb specializes in treating individuals across the lifespan who are affected by sexual abuse and trauma, offering a compassionate and expert approach to healing. Additionally, she specializes in evidence-based treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders. Dr. Loeb utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach to all presenting problems.
Dr. Loeb’s commitment extends beyond her private practice. In 1998, she served as first Clinical Director of Kristi House, a children’s advocacy center focused on preventing and treating child sexual abuse, human trafficking, and other traumas. Kristi House offers free, accessible services and collaborates with community partners to support victims and hold perpetrators accountable. Dr. Loeb has been an active board member of Kristi House since 2011.
Since 2010, Dr. Loeb has co-owned the South Miami Psychology Group, where she and her business partner, Dr. Summer Sullivan, lead a diverse team of clinicians. The practice serves individuals across the lifespan from various cultural and religious backgrounds, with various presenting problems.
Dr. Loeb is also a Clinical Supervisor for the Child and Adolescent Traumatic Stress Program (CATSP) at Nova Southeastern University, mentoring the next generation of psychologists specializing in childhood trauma. Her extensive contributions as a clinician, advocate, and educator continue to make a significant impact on the communities she serves.
Dr. Andrea Lippman Loeb lives in Pinecrest, FL with her husband, three children, and two dogs.

Lissette Cortes, Psy.D, CEDS

Dr. Lissette Cortes (she/her) is a Licensed Psychologist in Florida, Certified Eating Disorders Specialist, PsyPact provider, and the founder of Compassionate Healing Institute. Dr. Cortes is a Cognitive-Behavioral therapist and specializes in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Her main treatment focus is on eating disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder, as well as BDD, Trichotillomania, phobias, panic disorder, anxiety disorders and depression. Dr. Cortes is trained in CBIT for the treatment of Tourette’s and in SPACE for parenting interventions.
Dr. Cortes is a Health At Every Size (HAES) aligned clinician and practices from a size-inclusive and diet-rejecting perspective utilizing intuitive eating principles. She incorporates self-compassionate practices into her work as well as ACT. Her treatment encompasses a collaborative relationship in which goals are set in unison with her clients. She helps her clients become more familiar with unhelpful thinking patterns, while developing more adaptive ways to cope with distress and to ultimately make supportive life changes. She supports her clients in approaching otherwise avoided situations and in obtaining self-confidence. She also facilitates improvements in family relationships by providing an environment where family members can feel comfortable expressing their emotions, feel heard, and effectively communicate with one another.
During her training at Nova Southeastern University and throughout her clinical practice while living in South Florida, she has served multicultural populations. She was born in Bogota, Colombia and Spanish is her first language. She provides services in both English and Spanish languages. Dr. Cortes is passionate about advocacy, social justice, mental health awareness, diversity, inclusion and challenging anti-fat biases. Her client focus is inclusive of the LGBT population and of folks of all genders, diverse religious backgrounds, ethnicities, nationalities as well as affirming of neurodivergence.
Dr. Cortes is very passionate about community involvement, education, and outreach. Since 2011, she has been a group facilitator for The National Alliance for Eating Disorders. She also holds leadership positions for the Board of Florida Psychological Association Palm Beach Region and for the Board of International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) South Florida Chapter. Dr. Cortes is a co-founder and co-leader of the IOCDF’s OCD and Eating Disorders Special Interest Group.

Jarell Myers, Ph.D

Dr. Jarell R.O. Myers (he/him) is a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to providing evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and substance use. Drawing on extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dr. Myers delivers structured, goal-oriented interventions that are tailored to meet the unique developmental needs of young people and their families.
Dr. Myers integrates core CBT principles—such as cognitive restructuring, exposure and response prevention (ERP), and behavioral activation—into every aspect of his clinical work. He places a strong emphasis on helping clients build coping skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and engage in meaningful behavior changes. His experience also includes the application of CBT to address the complexities of substance use in adolescents and young adults, focusing on motivational enhancement, relapse prevention, and skill-building for long-term recovery.
Originally trained in New York and currently licensed in Florida, New York, and Massachusetts, Dr. Myers is committed to making high-quality, evidence-based care accessible to the families he serves. He is excited to bring his expertise to the CBT Alliance of Florida, where he will continue his mission of helping young people navigate challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Melanie Smith, Ph.D, LMHC, CEDS-C

Dr. Melanie Smith (she/her) is a seasoned therapist at CBT of Central and South Florida, specializing in CBT and related evidence-based treatments.
Dr. Smith holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision. She has extensive experience and expertise in the treatment of eating disorders including over 16 years at The Renfrew Center, the nation’s first residential treatment program for eating disorders. She is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and Approved Consultant (CEDS-C) and is a Certified Therapist & Trainer of the Unified Protocol for the Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP). Special treatment interests include Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), phobias including emetophobia, health-related anxiety, OCD and coping with chronic illness.
Dr. Smith is passionate about the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based treatments, clinical supervision and clinical training and has presented numerous lectures, workshops and keynote presentations at academic and professional conferences nationally and internationally. She has co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals and is the co-author of the peer-reviewed treatment manual and patient workbook, The Renfrew Unified Treatment Model for Eating Disorders and Comorbidity published by Oxford University Press.
Additionally, Dr. Smith is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED), and Post Partum Support International (PSI).

Eva Reichel, RCSWI

Eva S. Reichel, RCSWI (she/her) is a therapist at CBT of Central & South Florida and she specializes in Anxiety Disorders, OCD, Chronic Pain & Health Conditions, and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Eva has a graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University (NYU), a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Reichman University in Israel.
She brings experience working in clinical research settings including the Youth Anxiety Center (YAC) at the Columbia University Medical Center/New York State Psychiatric Institute and CUCARD in Manhattan. Eva has co-authored published research on evidence-based treatments for young adults with anxiety disorders and has presented her research in renowned national conferences.
As a clinician, Eva often conducts clinical training workshops in academic and community settings. Eva’s values and mission are to encourage continued training, education, and to help establish a strong local community of evidence-based providers in the state of Florida.

Natasha Poulopoulos, Ph.D

Dr. Natasha Poulopoulos (she/her) is a licensed psychologist at Holtz Children’s Hospital and the Miami Transplant Institute. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital. Her clinical expertise includes pediatric consultation-liaison psychology, solid organ transplant, and the assessment and treatment of somatic symptoms and related disorders.
Dr. Poulopoulos is also a mental health consultant at DR. TASH, where she provides strategic guidance on child, adolescent, and young adult mental health. She partners with schools, healthcare systems, and organizations to design inclusive, trauma-informed environments and create practical mental health escalation protocols.
Her approach to care is rooted in evidence-based practices, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help patients and families build emotional insight, resilience, and coping skills. She is passionate about translating psychological research into accessible, actionable strategies that support thriving youth across medical, educational, and community settings.
Dr. Poulopoulos empowers families, educators, and professionals with tools to foster mental wellness and create environments where young people feel seen, supported, and safe.
